Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 20, 2026
This policy explains what information Athens Erosion Control ("we," "us") collects when you use this website or call us, how we use it, and who we share it with.
Information we collect
When you submit the quote form, we collect what you enter:
- Your name, phone number and email address
- Your area or neighborhood, customer type (homeowner, builder and so on) and the service you need
- The approximate size of the job and any message you include
- The page you submitted from and the date and time of your submission
When you call us, our phone provider records call details such as your phone number, the time of the call and how long it lasted. We do not record the content of calls.
Automatically: like most websites, our hosting provider may log basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, for security and to keep the site running. This site does not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.
How we use your information
- To respond to your request: calling or emailing you back, scheduling a site visit and preparing a quote
- To match your request with a qualified local contractor (see below)
- To keep a record of requests and improve our service
- To prevent spam and abuse of the form
- To comply with the law
Who we share it with
Service providers. We may refer your request to an independent erosion control or site contractor serving Athens-Clarke County who will contact you directly about the job. We share only the details needed to respond to your request.
Tools we use. Form submissions are stored in Google Sheets (Google LLC) and sent to us by email. Calls are routed through SignalWire, our phone provider. These companies process information on our behalf under their own privacy terms.
Legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, our customers or the public.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Calls and texts
By submitting the form, you agree that we, or the contractor handling your request, may contact you at the phone number you provided about your request, including by call or text. Message and data rates may apply. We will not send you marketing messages without your consent. You can ask us to stop contacting you at any time.
How long we keep it
We keep form submissions and call records for as long as we need them to respond to your request and for normal business records, generally no longer than three years, unless the law requires longer.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you. Email us at [EMAIL] or call (706) 240-8540. We will respond within a reasonable time.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information, including access-controlled accounts with our providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

This site links to government resources such as Athens-Clarke County and the Georgia Soil and Water Conservation Commission. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.
